Jordan Polymers & Intermediate Chemicals Company Is Considered The First Polymers Company In Jordan. The Company Was Established In 1974 as A Limited Shareholding Company with A Capital of (500,000) Jordanian Dinars.
The Factory Consists Of The Following Two Main Production Units, Each Specializes In The Production Of Different Basic Raw Materials Needed For Paints And Adhesives Industries:-
this unit produces the following:-
- PVA Co-Polymer, Used In Emulsion Paints Industries With Different Specifications Suitable For Various Applications According To Customers’ Requests.
- PVA Homopolymer, Used In The Production Of Various Types Of Adhesive,
Such As:
- Wood Glues
- Paper & Carton Glues
- Textile & Carpets Latex
- Very Bond Adhesive, An Additive Used In Concrete To Prevent Humidity.
This unit produces three different types of alkyds used in oil paints industries, as follows:
- Long Oil Alkyd, Both High And Low Grades. This Type Of Alkyd Is Recommended For Air-Drying Architectural And Decorative Indoor And Outdoor Paints.
- Medium Oil Alkyd, Which Is Used For Under Coating, Flat Wall Paints, Semi-Gloss Flow Properties, Clear Wood Varnishes And Traffic Paints.
- Short Oil Alkyd, Used In Stove Enamels, Car Paints & NC -Varnishes.
in addition to the above, this unit is used also for the production of:
- Double boiled linseed oil, used in wood and putty industries.
- Driers, an additive to oil paints. This includes (Cobalt Octoate, Calcium Octoate , Zirconium Octoate).
